As year 2025 draws to a close, we find ourselves doing what we imagine many of you are doing, pausing to reflect. Looking back at the year that was. Remembering the moments that mattered. And feeling genuinely grateful for the journey.

At SRS Collection, we’re in the business of hospitality. But if we’re honest, what we really do is create the backdrop for life’s most important moments. The reunion dinners. The milestone celebrations. The quiet getaways that restore something essential. The business trips that unexpectedly become memorable. The proposals. The anniversaries. The ‘just because’ escapes that remind people why they work so hard in the first place.

This year, we had the privilege of being part of thousands of those moments. And as we prepare to welcome 2026, we wanted to share some reflections on the year and offer a glimpse of where we’re headed next.

The Moments That Defined Our Year

Every hospitality brand talks about service. About luxury. About experience. But what does that actually mean in practice? For us, it means the small things that guests remember long after they’ve checked out.

It’s the family who celebrated three generations gathering at Pier Harbour, grandparents meeting grandchildren for the first time, with the Lagos Lagoon sparkling behind their reunion photos. It’s the executive who came for a business trip and returned three more times this year, each time requesting the same suite at The Seattle Residences because, as she told us, “it feels like coming home.”

It’s the couple who got engaged on our terrace, with the city lights as witness. The group of university friends who reunited after a decade, choosing ClayHall as their base for a weekend of catching up and creating new memories. The mother who booked a spa day simply because she needed to remember what it felt like to be taken care of.

The GoodLife Restaurant continued to establish itself as one of Lagos’s premier waterfront dining destinations. Our kitchen team expanded their offerings, introducing new dishes that honour Nigerian culinary heritage while embracing global influences. The response from diners, both hotel guests and Lagos residents discovering us for the first time, has been humbling. When someone tells us their birthday dinner at The GoodLife Restaurant was the best they’ve ever had, we don’t take that lightly.

Our wellness offerings deepened. Through SRS Wellness, we’ve seen more guests prioritising restoration alongside their stays. The message is clear: people are craving not just beautiful spaces, but spaces that help them feel whole again. Our spa services, fitness facilities, and wellness programming have become increasingly central to the SRS experience, and we’re just getting started.

Our event venues across Victoria Island and Ikoyi hosted celebrations that guests told us exceeded their expectations, and there’s no higher compliment in hospitality.

This year, we focused on training, development, and creating a culture where our staff feel valued and empowered. When our housekeeping team takes pride in perfectly turned-down beds, when our concierge goes the extra mile to secure a last-minute reservation, when our restaurant servers remember a returning guest’s favourite wine, that’s the difference between good hospitality and great hospitality.

Flexibility is essential. Travellers’ needs are evolving. Business and leisure increasingly blend. Families want spaces that work for multiple generations. Solo travellers seek both privacy and connection. Listening to these changing needs and adapting our offerings accordingly has been crucial to serving our guests well.

Community matters. We’re not just a hospitality brand operating in Lagos, we’re part of Lagos. Supporting local suppliers, employing local talent, contributing to the city’s cultural and economic life, these aren’t add-ons to our business, they’re central to who we are. When Lagos thrives, we thrive.

Looking Ahead: Our Vision for 2026

As we step into a new year, we’re energised by what’s ahead. While we can’t reveal everything just yet, here’s a glimpse of where SRS Collection is headed:

Enhanced wellness experiences. We’re expanding our wellness programming to offer more comprehensive mind-body experiences. Expect new treatment options, wellness packages that integrate accommodation with restoration, and programming designed to help guests leave feeling genuinely renewed.

Elevated dining. The GoodLife Restaurant will continue to evolve, with new seasonal menus, special culinary events, and experiences that celebrate both Nigerian flavours and international influences. We’re also exploring ways to bring exceptional dining experiences to guests across all our properties.

Deeper personalisation. We’re investing in understanding our guests better, their preferences, their patterns, what makes them feel most at home. The goal is simple: whether it’s your first stay or your tenth, every experience should feel thoughtfully tailored to you.

Sustainability initiatives. Lagos State’s leadership on environmental issues, including the single-use plastics ban, has reinforced our commitment to sustainable hospitality. In 2026, we’ll be implementing additional measures to reduce our environmental footprint while maintaining the luxury experience our guests expect.

More reasons to gather. We’re developing new event concepts and packages that make it easier for people to celebrate life’s moments with us, from intimate dinners to milestone celebrations to corporate retreats that actually inspire.
